Entropy of Relativistic Mono-Atomic Gas and Temperature Relativistic Transformation in Thermodynamics
نویسنده
چکیده
It is demonstrated that the entropy of the ideal mono-atomic gas comprising identical spherical atoms is not conserved under the Planck-Einstein like relativistic temperature transformation, as a result of the change in the number of atomic degrees of freedom. This fact supports the idea that there is no universal relativistic temperature transformation.

Ultra- Relativistic Solitons with Opposing Behaviors in Photon Gas Plasma
We have studied the formation of relativistic solitary waves due to nonlinearinteraction of strong electromagnetic wave with the plasma wave. Here, our plasma isrelativistic both in temperature and in streaming speed. A set of equations consisting ofscalar and vector potentials together with a third order equation for the enthalpy inphoton gas plasma is obtained analytic...
متن کاملVariational Calculations for the Relativistic Interacting Fermion System at Finite Temperature: Application to Liquid 3He
In this paper, at first we have formulated the lowest order constrained variational method for the relativistic case of an interacting fermion system at finite temperature. Then we have used this formalism to calculate some thermodynamic properties of liquid in the relativistic regime. The results show that the difference between total energies of relativistic and non-relativistic cases of liqu...
متن کاملRelativistic Boltzmann equation and relativistic irreversible thermodynamics
The covariant Boltzmann equation for a relativistic gas mixture is used to formulate a theory of relativistic irreversible thermodynamics. The modified moment method is applied to derive various evolution equations for macroscopic variables from the covariant Boltzmann equation. The method rigorously yields the entropy differential which is not an exact differential if
متن کاملStatistical thermodynamics of a two-dimensional relativistic gas.
In this paper we study a fully relativistic model of a two-dimensional hard-disk gas. This model avoids the general problems associated with relativistic particle collisions and is therefore an ideal system to study relativistic effects in statistical thermodynamics. We study this model using molecular-dynamics simulation, concentrating on the velocity distribution functions. We obtain results ...
متن کاملGlobal Solutions to the Ultra-Relativistic Euler Equations
We show that when entropy variations are included and special relativity is imposed, the thermodynamics of a perfect fluid leads to two distinct families of equations of state whose relativistic compressible Euler equations are of Nishida type. (In the non-relativistic case there is only one.) The first corresponds exactly to the StefanBoltzmann radiation law, and the other, emerges most natura...
